Jeff Hecht is a free-lance science and technology writer who writes regularly for New Scientist, Laser Focus World and Optics & Photonics News on topics from planetary science and lasers to dinosaurs. His short fiction has appeared in Analog, Asimov's, Daily Science Fiction, Interzone, Nature, Odyssey and Twilight Zone and in anthologies including Alien Pregnant by Elvis, New Dimensions 8 and 9 and Great American Ghost Stories.
