Patrick Nielsen Hayden is the manager of the SF and fantasy line at
Tor Books and the fiction editor of Tor.com. He is a winner of the Hugo Award and the World Fantasy Award for his editorial work. With his wife, Teresa Nielsen Hayden, he teaches annually at Viable Paradise and helps run the group blog Making Light; together, the Nielsen Haydens were given NESFA's Skylark Award in 2003.
