Stephen Baxter

Stephen Baxter was educated in Maths (Cambridge) and Aeroengineering (Southampton); after receiving his doctorate he was a teacher and researcher until he turned to full-time writing in 1995. His novels and shorter works reflect his training in the hard sciences and have won him numerous awards including Philip K. Dick, John Campbell Memorial, Kurd Lasswitz, Seiun, Sidewise, and the British Science Fiction Association Award. His works have been nominated for a number of Hugo Awards. In addition to his professional work he is an active member of the British Science Fiction Association and has served as its vice-president.

Richard Hescox

Richard Hescox continues his distinguished career as a science fiction and fantasy artist as Official Artist at Boskone 41. In addition to the traditional areas of book and magazine covers and posters, his art is found on trading cards and in films and interactive computer games. He has been nominated for five Chesley Awards by the Association of Science Fiction Artists in the categories of color paperback cover, artistic achievement, and unpublished (gallery/art show) color work. In 2003 he won the Chesley for Best Unpublished Color Work for his painting "The Storm." In 1991 he received the Jack Gaughan Award for Best Emerging Artist from the New England Science Fiction Association.
