The continued existence of the Discworld universe is at stake, threatened by a wizard who's an excessive fan of Order, and has got hold of seven of the eight Octavo spells. Obviously, Rincewind and Twoflower are the perfect people to bolix up the plans of someone enamored of perfect order. Great fun.
