Between two Worlds contains a selection of Terry Carr's fan and pro writing. Included is a pastiche pf an Agatha Christie story, an insightful look at SunCon, and an interesting story of what life on this Earth might become when the Sun is dying.

Terry Carr was born in 1937 and got involved in science Fiction fandom soon thereafter. He was an outstanding fan writer and won the Fan writer Hugo in 1973. He was also an SF writer and an award-winning editor. The original Ace Science Fiction Specials were a product of his skill, as was the later revived line. Carr was also the editor of one of the best and longest-running original anthologies, Universe, as well as editor of the one of the best Best-of-the-Year collections. Terry Carr lived in California

Messages Found in an Oxygen Bottle contains some of Bob Shaw's best fan writing, which range from the uproariously funny to the somewhat more serious. In it you will discover some of the arcane scientific facts that Bob has uncovered (the "Bermondsey Triangle Mystery", for example, or Bob's method for getting around the reaction mass problem of starships), meet several of his unforgettable characters, and in general have a great time.

Bob Shaw was both in Northern Ireland in 1931 became an enthusiastic SF fan at an early age. Shaw was well known for his SF writing (including the Hugo-winning "Light of Other Days" and his fanac. His speeches are legendary; his fanwriting extraordinary.
